PARENT TEACHER ORGANIZATION

Purpose of The AISF P.T.O:

(a)To work with parents and school staff to

  build a sense of community at AISF.

(b)To facilitate cooperation collaboration

  between parent and teachers in the

  education of AISF pupils.

(c)To provide support of families new to Sierra

  Leone and Freetown in particular.

(d)To aide in the effective communication and

  social interaction within the AISF

  community.

(e)To advocate the School’s Cross Curricular

  Standards

(i)CCS1 All individuals have a right to freedom

  and equity that has been achieved through the

  struggles of mankind.

(ii)CCS2 All individuals have strengths and

  abilities that can be developed to benefit

  them and the global community.

(iii) CCS3 Collaboration among individual of various

  social, ethical, and cultural background is

  necessary to achieve a peaceful, productive

  global society.

(iv)CCS4 Learning is achievable for every

  student with the application of appropriate

  teaching strategies, cooperation of learners,

  and support from the home environment.

(f)To augment classroom instruction and

  curriculum by collaborating with the

  administration and teaching staff to plan and

  sponsor extra-curricular projects.
