    Hey there,

I found your website by searching "american international school" on Yahoo.com.

Anyways, I put in some effort in creating a small blurb for your website, aisfreetown.org, complete with pictures and a brief description. You can find it here: http://qdoic.com/link/aisfreetown.org

Our websites are in the same industry, and doing a link exchange has the potential to increase your search engine rankings and get more traffic to your website (as you probably already know).

I think we can both benefit from this. I hope that you can return the favor and put a link to our website.

You can use the following info if you like:

  3. Good morning!

My name is Ashley and I am a science tutor in Delaware. A few of my students are working on a science project and through gathering resources to refer to in our class, we came across your page, http://www.aisfreetown.org/page/4532674021 . We thought it was very resourcefully put together!

As a thank you, my students and I found another page, http://www.freedrinkingwater.com/resource-a-complete-resource-guide-to-osmosis.htm , that has some great resources on osmosis. We thought it would be a nice resource to add to your page and share with others!

I think it's so cute that they asked me to email you to add their suggestion. It's the littlest things will brighten a child's day, you know? :)

Looking forward to hearing back from you and have a wonderful day!

    Thank you!
    Ashley

  5. A little history of AISF

After watching a show on Sierra Leone this evening, I was reminded of the time I spent there when I was younger, while my father was working in the American Embassy. When first moved there maybe 1985? I was places in a school which I forget the name of and I recall children getting caned for various school offenses. I remember once getting caned myself by suprize when I sat on top of my desk while the floor was being swept. Soon afterwards, my parents decided to start a school, it began with just six of us. My parents had the garage area outfitted with desks and book shelves and we had one teacher who taught us all, 3 students in each grade. The next year with help from the american mission there, the building the school is now located at was obtained and the AISF began. My fondest memories of my time there were the recesses on the hill over looking freetown, and my teacher reading the class the Chronicals of Naria out loud each day for 30 minutes of so.
Glade to know the AISF is going strong.

  7. Hello. My name is Terri and I was a Kingergarten teacher at the AIS,F's inception from August - December, 1986. I was there with Dr. James O. Perry, Ruth, Carol, and another teacher whose name I have, unfortunately, since forgotten. Since I have gotten started with Facebook, I have been wondering if I could find out anything about the continued existence of AIS,F. My family and I travelled back to Sierra Leone this past July (2009) and I tried to ask around about the school, but no one I asked seemed to know. I am so glad to see it has blossomed since those early days. If someone could email me back or send a message through Facebook (Terri Coats-Hamoud), to update me on any info available regarding the "founding father/mothers" whose names are above, it would be very welcome news!

    Thanks,
    Terri

  9. We are all in Mali now - Dan 10th, Lucas 8th, and Raechel 4th. Almost three years have past since our fabulous year at AISF. AISB is a great school, but we sure miss the beach and Sierra Leone in general. Maybe we'll get back for a visit, it's not easy to get from Mali to Sierra Leone!

Lynn is again teaching kindergarden and I'm teaching 7th grade SS/LA and two HS social studies.

    Miss you all!

  10. Ditto on the comments from Justin! Edna, this new website is great - I love the icon down at the bottom left (the kids holding the AISF sign), it's very cute! The photos from the MLK assembly in this month's AWOKO brought back some great memories for me as well. I'm currently teaching in Nunavut, up in Canada's arctic (no longer rainforests forests for me!) and my students in the dance club choreographed a routine to "Where Is The Love" (Black Eyed Peas) for our Christmas concert. I hope all's well at AISF. The outdoor movie night sounds lovely. Wish I were there.

  11. Hello all,

I am very impressed with the new website. Kudos to all who helped put it together.

Just a note saying the pictures have brought back some wonderful memories. I hope that you guys are having an amazing 2008-2009 school year, that you are appreciating all the good things about having such a small and family oriented school and that you are dilligently keeping the footballs out of my vegetable garden! Please keep in touch, I would love to hear from you and hear how my kids are doing.

Miss you more than I thought I would,
    Justin Wallace
